My work in fashion design blends visual storytelling with activism, using clothing as both a creative and communicative medium. I design original graphics and produce hand-printed garments, overseeing every stage of the process, from concept and sourcing to production and sales. Through formal training at FIT and hands-on sewing experience, I’ve developed technical skills in garment construction, styling, and textile work.
Much of my work is rooted in social justice. I founded “We Wear the Word,” a T-shirt initiative addressing censorship in the arts, and created designs that incorporate historical figures and interactive elements like QR codes to extend the narrative beyond the garment. Through a grant from the Jane Goodall Institute’s Roots & Shoots program, I collaborated with bestselling author George Saunders to launch a small clothing line supporting immigrant legal aid, managing everything from design and pricing to marketing and distribution.
Across all of my projects, I’m interested in how fashion can be a platform for awareness, dialogue, and change.
