Ayla Hamilton is a filmmaker, photographer, and interdisciplinary artist based in New York’s Hudson Valley. A high school senior, she works at the intersection of storytelling and social impact, using film and visual art to explore identity, inequality, and the complexities of coming of age.
Beyond her artistic practice, Ayla is deeply engaged in advocacy and community work, contributing to initiatives focused on LGBTQ+ youth, immigrant rights, and creative access. She has held internships in film production, digital marketing, and social justice organizations, and is the president of Red Hook DIY, where she organizes live music events for young artists.
Through all of her work, Ayla is driven by a commitment to telling stories that illuminate overlooked experiences and create space for empathy, reflection, and change.
